Ben Feeney - Vocal Percussion ('03-'05)
Ben Feeney was born and raised in Houlton,
Maine. He started his percussion career by constantly banging
on pots and pans as a baby. Ben took up percussion seriously
in the 5th grade only because it was the absolute coolest
instrument in the band. After taking First Chair in the
Aroostook County band for 3 years, Ben went off to high
school, where he sang in chorus, the award-winning show
choir, and played percussion in the band. At the University
of Maine, Ben was a member of the University Singers and
the University's premiere vocal group, the Maine Steiners.
It was there that he developed his ridiculous vocal percussion
skills, and helped produce two CDs. In his junior year,
he was recognized by the International Championship of Collegiate
A Cappella as the Best Vocal Percussionist. In his spare
time, he loves to golf, ski, work out, and play guitar. |
